Why should you enroll your employees to our rigging and signal person training program?
During fiscal year 2020 OSHA issued 157 violations for lack of signal person qualifications, 71 violations for improper wire rope inspections, and 58 violations for training (NCCCO, n.d.). These citations would most likely have been prevented by having properly trained employees.
All too often we are called into to help post-accident, unfortunately someone has already been cited or hurt at this point. The common response from our clients is that they should have paid more attention and didn’t realize they had a gap in their training.
Code of Federal regulations 1926.21(b)(2) states that “The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury”. Failure to provide training is consistently in the top 10 OSHA most frequently cited violations. If we offered you a way to double the value of your training dollars, would you take it? Here’s the value; spend the training dollars required by the regulations and at the same time prepare your employees to more knowledgeable resources to your company.
